What is behind Door #10101?

For my word cloud I decided to use 3 very personal pieces of music from different stages in my life. The first song I chose is “Family Traditions” by Hank Williams Jr. The reason for this song being in my word cloud is because it was my dads favorite song. My father was killed when I was 16 and it is something I still deal with on a daily basis. I still listen to this song because I believe its something I can still share with him. I used this song as a coping mechanism while I began my battle with depression, it helped me feel a sense of comfort for a little while. My second song choice was a little harder to make because it was really the band overall that helped me out. The song I decided on was “O.M.G.I.M.Y.” by The Amity Affliction. The song was originally written for the lead singers friend who had committed suicide and how he wished he was there more to help him. The band made a lot of songs about mental health and how it is a struggle and dealing with it is not an easy thing, but no matter what you will never be alone in your fight. This band also helped me find amazing friends who have been there for me and have helped me heal. My final song is called “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. This song means a lot to me because its me and my fiancés song. I met her back when I was still at my worst and her coming into my life has been one of the greatest things that has ever happened in my life. She was this beacon of light for me while I was stuck in the darkness. She continued to show me what happiness was and I couldn’t be more thankful to have her in my life.
